Youth Forward MKE Hosts Winter Jam

On Friday, December 1, Youth Forward MKE held its first ever Winter Jam. The event, hosted at Nō Studios, offered an opportunity for local youth to connect with each other, learn about Youth Forward MKE and the Autonomous Youth Council, and celebrate the holiday season.

Altogether, nearly 60 people attended the event, with over half of those being youth. Attendees enjoyed food, games and raffles, as well as music by DJ Blanket and Klassic and henna tattoos by Zenzee. Klassik even engaged in a candid conversation with Youth Forward MKE Ambassador Tailus Rush around mental health, which is a key issue that the coalition continues to prioritize.

Youth Forward MKE will be hosting even more events - both online and in-person - in the coming year as we look to authentically engage with youth and meet them where they are. Stay tuned for more information!
